EMI Group PLC will license its songs to the online music service pressplay, becoming the first label to work with both of the new Web music services being planned by the major record companies, Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal reported.

Pressplay and its rival, MusicNet, say they hope to offer music from all five major record labels. But so far, that has been an elusive target because the labels have divided into two camps to form their planned online services.
