CHICAGO Alticor, the parent company of Amway, has tapped Omnicom Group's Element 79 to handle its advertising after a review, according to the agency.

"We are thrilled to be working with the dedicated and creative professionals of Alticor," said Brian Williams, president and CEO of the Chicago agency, in a statement. "With the diverse array of business opportunities, products and services they offer, they're unlike any client we've ever worked with and truly unlike any company in the marketplace."

The Grand Rapids, Mich., company's search was led by chief brand officer Tom Hall, who once led the operations of WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather in Chicago. Contenders in the review were undisclosed.

Billings for the assignment were undisclosed. Alticor, which is also the parent of Quixtar and Access Business Group, spent just over $1 million on advertising last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence.
