Elbow Grease Not Necessary

It was a very good night for Work and The Martin Agency last Friday evening as the two Virginia shops shared top honors at the annual Richmond (Va.) Show.
Work won top honors at the event for its One Show cover, plus three gold awards.
Martin brought home six golds, the most of any shop. In fact, the two local agencies were the only contenders to win gold awards at the Richmond Show.
It is worth noting that winning a gold award at the Richmond Show does not mean it is made of the precious metal. Instead, the competition's big winners each receive a black pewter cannonball. And what that prize may lack aesthetically, it more than makes up for by never having to be polished.
The awards ceremony was hosted by copywriter Luke Sullivan of Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis. Sullivan is an alum of Martin as well as a former stand-up comedian and author of the recently released Hey Whipple, Squeeze This.
