Eisner Communications has accelerated its moveinto integrated marketing with the addition of multicultural and interactive units. The agency has also acquired Underground Advertising.

“Integration is not a fad,” said Steve Eisner, the Baltimore shop’s chief executive officer. “It’s something we’ve been onto for many years—helping our brands experience holistic marketing.”

Underground Advertising, a Baltimore creative boutique with billings of $5 million, has consistently dominated the local Addy scene. Eric Hartsock and Bill Harper, formerly co-creative directors at Underground, have become managing partners of Eisner Underground, a wholly owned subsidiary.

“They are an entrepreneurial, scrappy, driven group of people doing out-there work,” said Eisner.
