CHICAGO Technology company EDS has hired Interpublic Group's TM Advertising to handle creative duties on its $10-15 million after a review, the agency confirmed.
The shop, which will handle the task out of its Irving, Texas, office, will be responsible for TV, print, online and other internal and external communications. The shop immediately begins work on a new campaign scheduled to premiere early next year.
"EDS is a world-class brand that has played an integral role in helping many of the world's greatest companies for more than 45 years," said agency president Tom Hansen. "We're looking forward to shining a light on that valuable role and driving great momentum and growth throughout the global marketplace."
TM bested Havas' McKinney in Durham, N.C., and independent agency The Richards Group in Dallas for the account. ABA Consulting ran the review. Media planning and placement responsibilities remain with Publicis Groupe's MediaVest of New York.
Incumbent creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York (backed by Publicis Groupe) did not defend.
Plano, Texas-based EDS spent $6 million in measured media in 2006, per TNS Media Intelligence, down 33 percent from the previous year.
