NEW YORK EarthLink today unveiled the latest version of a feature that allows consumers to block pop-ups and other rich media ads.

Called Pop-Up Blocker, the feature allows subscribers to the Internet Service Provider to download a tool to block rich media ads, including pop-ups and animated and audio-enabled cartoons that move across Web pages.

The tool (www.earthlink.net/home/software) lets subscribers choose between two levels of pop-up blocking. By selecting “full,” subscribers can continue to stop all pop-ups.
