Jim Durfee, a copywriter at Euro RSCG in New York, will retire this month after more than 40 years in the advertising industry. Durfee, 77, was a founding partner in the Carl Ally agency, where he worked on accounts such as Pan Am, IBM, Hertz, MCI and Volvo, which he helped introduced to America. He is one of only 40 professionals inducted into The One Club Hall of Fame. Durfee will now focus on his painting. He said, "If painting treats me half as kindly as advertising has, what a future. Still, I will miss Euro RSCG and all the great people I have worked with."
