NEW YORK Ogilvy & Mather on Thursday was selected by DuPont to handle its consolidated global advertising account, sources said.

The New York WPP Group agency beat out Interpublic Group’s Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago, and McCann-Erickson, New York, as well as Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi and WPP sibling Young & Rubicam, both also based in New York.

The client spent $70 million on ads last year, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
