BOSTON Fans of Fox Sports Net New England indulge in antics recalling 1960s Beatlemania in a new campaign from Duffy & Shanley.

In three 30-second, black-and-white TV spots shot throughout Boston, screaming fans—all men—chase Gary Tanguay and Greg Dickerson, co-hosts of the nightly program Sports Tonight, off a park bench, out from behind a tree, down the steps of the State House and away from a hot dog stand. Familiar landmarks such as Fenway Park and the Hatch Shell appear in the background as Beatles-esque music plays.

"The show is relatively new, but Gary and Greg are cult figures with a big following," said agency creative director Michael Silvia. Before the show launched a couple of years ago, both men appeared on other Boston-area programs.

"Mohegan Sun's New England Sports Tonight presented by the Boston Herald," onscreen text reads. "Weeknights at 6:30 and 10 p.m."

The commercials will run on Fox Sports Net and other cable networks beginning Thursday.

Print ads will run in the Boston Herald; outdoor executions are appearing near Boston's Fenway Park.

Providence, R.I.-based Duffy & Shanley has worked for the client since 2001. Previous campaigns highlighted the station's WNBA and college hockey broadcasts.
