BOSTON–Duffy & Shanley has retained the Rhode Island Economic Development Corp.’s advertising account, which is budgeted at $1.3 million annually.
The Providence, R.I., agency has worked with the client since 1984.
Approximately a half dozen agencies picked up the request for proposals, but only America House, Newport, R.I., pitched the business against the heavily favored incumbent. Duffy & Shanley “made a tremendous proposal, both written and in-person,” said client representative Larson Gunness.
As the review began, the agency won best of show honors at the Publicity Club of New England’s Bell Ringer Awards for public relations efforts on behalf of the client.
