Duffy & Shanley has launched a technology public relations practice helmed by vice president Maria Scurry.
Scurry joins the Providence, R.I., agency from FirePond, a global provider of software that helps companies do business on the Internet. At FirePond, she was director of corporate communications. “She understands the pace of high-tech PR,” said agency president Jonathan Duffy. “She’s been on the inside of taking a company through a successful IPO and has worked on merger and acquisition activity.”
