In a summer in which sheer bigness has dominated outdoor advertising, NBC has debuted a 395-feet by 23-feet billboard along New York’s 42nd Street touting its fall “Must See TV” lineup.
Not to be outdone, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome has built an even longer hanging banner, 735 feet by 6 1/2 feet, depicting scenes from the Puccini opera Tosca. The ad will remain up through the end of August, when the production ends. It was created by Saatchi & Saatchi’s office in Rome.
