Orkin Exterminating is quietly talking to agencies about undertaking a direct mail initiative, sources said.
The Atlanta-based insect exterminator is holding a closed review for the business, which will not supplant agency of record of J. Walter Thompson, according to sources.
Billings for the new assignment will be in the $1-2 million range.
When called for comment, JWT executive vice president Jeffrey White was in a meeting with an Orkin representative, an employee at the Atlanta agency acknowledged.
