In a new effort aimed at the national Hispanic market, Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing has inked Texas Rangers outfielder Juan Gonzalez to commercially endorse its Dickies workwear.
The two-time Most Valuable Player and native of Puerto Rico is seen as an ambassador to Dickies’ Spanish-speaking market–“one of the fastest-growing parts of our business,” said client marketing director Jon Ragsdale. Besides his famed Major League Baseball exploits, Gonzalez is married to prominent Puerto Rican musician Olga Ta„on.
Gonzalez will appear in Dickies’ Latino-targeted newspaper, radio, outdoor and point-of-sale ads, which break today in major Texas and California markets.
