NEW YORK — Deutsch partnered with Integrated Communications Corp. to land creative duties on the $80-100 million Diovan account, sources said. Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, N.J., makes the high-blood pressure drug that has been approved for use in treating heart failure.

Each of the finalists had partnered with a sibling pharmaceutical shop to pitch the business: They were Grey and Grey Healthcare; Merkley Newman Harty & Partners and MNH Healthworks, all New York; and Arnold, based in Boston with Lally McFarland & Pantello Euro RSCG, in New York, sources said.
