Unable to lure significant new business after a year of operation, Deutsch is closing its Boston office.
The outpost, which employs about nine staffers and claims perhaps $3 million in overall billings, is set to close July 11. Deutsch partners Kristin Volk and Kathy Kiely, who helmed the Boston office, are considering posts both inside and outside New York-based Deutsch, a unit of the Interpublic Group of Cos., a Deutsch representative said. The agency continues to have a presence in the Los Angeles marketplace.
