CHICAGO Omnicom's DDB said it has promoted Bob Scarpelli to worldwide chief creative officer, a new position at the agency network. Scarpelli, 52, and U.S. chief creative officer since 2000, will remain chairman of DDB in Chicago. There is no immediate plan to name a successor for the U.S. chief creative officer post.
Revlon to Kaplan Thaler, Carat
NEW YORK Publicis Groupe's The Kaplan Thaler Group won creative duties on the $125 million Revlon cosmetics brand, as well as the launch later this year of the client's new Flair fragrance, sources said. Aegis Group's Carat will handle media duties, sources added. The incumbent, Interpublic Group's Deutsch in New York, will retain creative and media duties on Revlon's $15 million Mitchum brand, according to sources.
