DDB in Dallas and Chicago has created two image spots for Nokia that are slated to run during the NCAA’s basketball tournament this month, the client confirmed last week. DDB competed for the project last summer in a review against Omnicom sibling GSD&M in Austin, Texas, and the incumbent, independent The Richards Group in Dallas. A client rep said the assignment is unrelated to Nokia’s ongoing $35 million creative review, in which DDB is a finalist along with Grey Global Group’s Grey in New York and IPG’s Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas.
