DDB Heralds McDonald's McGriddles

CHICAGO McDonald’s Corp. launched a national advertising campaign this week touting its new McGriddles breakfast sandwich.

The television, radio, print and outdoor campaign from DDB Chicago employs the lines, “Weird. But a good kind of weird” and “Bizarre, but yummy.” Frankel in Chicago developed restaurant merchandising and point-of-purchase materials with the line, “Taste what’s in.”

McGriddles are a new permanent menu item featuring pancakes instead of bread or muffins for a breakfast sandwich. Spending for the campaign was not disclosed.
