DALLAS-M/C/C has landed three new clients with a potential upswing of $5 million in billings for the Dallas high-tech agency.
M/C/C was assigned duties for San Antonio remote computing firm Data Race, pay phone technology company Intellicall of Carrollton, Texas, and Torrance, Calif.-based RoameR One, a mobile radio services provider.
"We'll be doing a variety of things-CD-ROMs, updating Web sites and a lot of interactive type services," said M/C/C president Mike Crawford.
Billings for Data Race and RoameR One are estimated at $1-2 million each, while the agency placed the Intellicall business at about $1 million.
Only Intellicall came to M/C/C after a formal review, according to Crawford.
M/C/C will be doing strategic planning, public relations, advertising and interactive work for Data Race. Included is a CD-ROM project to promote Be There!, a remote computing system for telecommuters allowing simultaneous access of voice and data networks via laptops over standard phone lines, according to Crawford. Initial assignments will involve print work.
A public relations campaign will be the focus of an eight-market kickoff for RoameR One through radio and print, looking to attract customers in the business realm, Crawford said.
All aspects of advertising, public relations and strategic planning are in the works for Intellicall, which specializes in "intelligent" pay phones, prepaid and call processing systems, and network control and business management systems.
Crawford declined to disclose the shop's current billings, which added up to $32.6 million in 1996. That total ranked M/C/C No. 14 in revenue among Southwest agencies.
Current clients of the 11-year-old agency include Ericsson Network and Ericsson Radio Systems, PrimeCo Personal Communications and Sterling Software.
