To augment its overseas offices, D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles has named Andy McQuin regional managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, a new position, effective immediately.
McQuin, who is 46, will oversee D’Arcy’s 30 offices in those regions. There are no immediate plans to name additional regional directors, said a D’Arcy representative.
“It’s about the right kind of leadership to have an impact on performance and not on just managing a structure,” said Susan Gianinno, D’Arcy’s chief branding officer worldwide and president, along with John Farrell, of the agency’s Trans-Atlantic region; it includes North America, Europe and Africa.
With McQuin’s hire, Gianinno and Farrell will be able to focus more on offices in such cities as New York, Detroit, London and Paris, she added.
McQuin was formerly regional director of Central and Eastern Europe, based in Budapest, Hungary, at Ammirati Puris Lintas, but will move to London in 2000.
