Douglas Norcross’ “Success by 6” campaign for the United Way of Greater Chattanooga might have been subtitled, “Doing well by doing good.”
The Chattanooga, Tenn., agency delivered an informative print, radio and television campaign stressing the importance of simple interaction in early childhood development. It won a Community Best Practices Award for its efforts, In one TV spot, a father’s game of peek-a-boo with an infant is captured as a powerful and positive stimulus.
“We wanted to get the message across to parents, caregivers and teachers that they don’t have to spend money to stimulate a baby’s brain,” said DDN account executive Adrienne Greer.
