Dalton Puts Sherman's Name on Door

CHICAGO Independent boutique Dalton Advertising has renamed itself Dalton Sherman, making a partner out of president Keith Sherman. The change is effective immediately.

Sherman, a veteran of Omnicom Group's Martin/Williams, has been with the Minneapolis agency for the past 18 months. The five-year-old agency is looking to model itself on boutiques like New York's StrawberryFrog and Anomaly. Founder Rob Dalton remains creative director at the shop.

With the name change, the shop has also added a new client, AmericInn Lodging System. The Minnesota-based hotel chain picked the shop earlier this year.

"AmericInn is poised for a bigger piece of market share and Dalton's energy and fresh thinking is going to get us there," said Jon Kennedy, senior vice president of marketing and franchise development for the client, in a statement.

Dalton Sherman's other clients include Boston Scientific, Dunn Bros. Coffee, Home Savings of America and project work for Target Stores.
