DALLAS F. Ross Crusemann is leaving Peter A. Mayer Advertising to join the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau as senior vice president of marketing, public relations and communications, the bureau said.

Crusemann fills the newly created position Dec. 1. GroupBaronet in Dallas handles advertising for the bureau, which spent $1 million on media last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Crusemann’s new position was created under a reorganization of the bureau. Advertising had previously been handled by two different departments, tourism and convention sales.
