Daewoo Motor America’s four regional U.S. agencies have grown restless over the client’s inactive marketing plan and U.S. product launch delays.
Executives of least one shop, Ground Zero, Santa Monica, Calif., said they would consider taking on a new car account if Daewoo fails to provide active assignments soon. Ground Zero, tapped to handle Western advertising, is not currently involved in any car reviews but was an early contender in the now-delayed Porsche contest.
Sources said Korey Kay & Partners, New York, is also frustrated and might accept an invitation to pitch another car account.
