About 1,700 people attended the May 26 event at Old Billingsgate in London. Two design entries won gold awards, known as black Pencils: in the graphic design category, a series of Royal Mail stamps by Johnson Banks in London that include stickers with eyes and other features; and a moving, interactive installation in the environmental design and architecture category called “Ship of Ideas,” created to promote tourism by Atelier Markgraph in Frankfurt, Germany. British comedian Matt Lucas, appearing in character as Marjorie Dawes, hosted the event.
