NEW YORK Jon Cropper, a creative content and channel strategist at WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam here, has left to become chief marketing officer at Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group in New York.

At Bad Boy, Cropper will lead a department of about 12 that manages marketing, strategy and media for Bad Boy’s various units, including Sean John Clothing, Bad Boy Records and Bad Boy Films.

Cropper, who before Y&R worked at Nissan, Quincy Jones Entertainment and MTV, said he was attracted by the opportunity to have “direct influence and control over shaping the look and feel of the brand,” adding, “I really wanted to get back to the media and entertainment space.”
