ATLANTA The National Foundation for Credit Counseling has hired gkv to provide creative, media buying and public relations for the organization without a review, the shop said.
The work includes a national print campaign that is scheduled to launch in September and television spots set to begin airing early next year. The independent Baltimore shop also will produce Internet advertising and provide PR support. No outdoor or radio advertising is planned. There was no incumbent.
"With the pending overhaul of bankruptcy legislation, the NFCC and credit counseling industry are entering an unprecedented era," said Susan C. Keating, president and CEO of the Silver Spring, Md.-based nonprofit organization. "We selected gkv as our communications partner to help raise the NFCC's brand leadership position and to assist us in ensuring that consumers know where to turn if and when they find themselves in need of credit counseling or financial education."
NFCC was founded in 1951 and is the nation's oldest and largest credit counseling network with 120 members and more than 1,000 offices in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Annual account billings were not disclosed.
