David Lubars, the 39-year-old chief executive and chief creative officer of BBDO West, joins Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis next month as creative director. Lubars, who spent the last five years at the Los Angeles agency steering award-winning work for Pioneer, LA Cellular and Monsanto, will succeed Bill Westbrook. “There are several big shoes to fill,” says Lubars, who looks forward to continuing Fallon’s creative legacy. Though the decision to leave BBDO was a difficult one, Lubars says, “I was ready to go to a more national stage.”
