A new healthcare public relations shop formed last week, the result of a merger between Weber Public Relations Worldwide and medical product launch company Torre Lazur Healthcare Group. Both shops were owned by McCann-Erickson Worldwide.
The new entity-Torre Lazur/Weber Healthcare Public Relations-will be based in Parsippany, N.J.
Heading the new agency is Josh Weinstein, who was recruited from competitor Burson-Marsteller’s healthcare group, where he was an executive vice president. Weinstein will report to Larry Weber, chairman of Weber Public Relations Worldwide in Cambridge, Mass.
Weinstein, according to a Weber representative, is “currently actively recruiting”
new employees.
