CHICAGO Cellular South is poised to award its advertising account to Cramer-Krasselt, according to the agency. The shop estimated billings were $12 million on the account.

The Chicago independent agency bested Havas’ Arnold in McLean, Va., and independent archer>malmo in Memphis, Tenn., in a review according to sources. MDC Partners’ Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami withdrew from the review early this month, citing the demands of its new Burger King business.

Incumbent Fletcher Martin Ewing, a MDC shop in Atlanta, declined to defend the account, which it held for five years.
