ATLANTA Juan-Carlos Morales has joined iChameleon Group as the independent Miami shop's creative director.
Morales previously worked at MDC Partners' Crispin Porter + Bogusky, also in Miami, as an art director and senior interactive Flash developer. He won several awards for his work on accounts such as Burger King and Method Soap. He left CP+B a month before joining iChameleon.
Previously, Freddie Laker, iChameleon's founder and CEO, served as creative director.
Morales had worked for Laker in a previous Internet venture two years ago, and they also teamed during Morales' stint at CP+B, developing some of that shop's interactive efforts for BMW's Mini Cooper and Pink.
"I'm beyond excited," Laker said of Morales joining the shop. "I consider Juan to be on the cutting edge of interactive advertising."
Laker's agency provides Internet and viral marketing for clients including EarthLink, Coca-Cola and Citibank. The shop opened an office in Los Angeles earlier this year and plans an Atlanta outpost in coming months.
