NEW YORK Cossette Communications has added top executives to its management team in New York to lead client services and digital marketing, respectively.
Jason Moyer, a former account director at WPP Group's Young & Rubicam here, has become director of client services and innovation. Christian Quenneville, ex-director of Internet marketing at Cossette's office in Montreal, is now director of digital marketing in New York. Both positions are new and the executives report to office president Sally Kennedy.
Moyer, 32, spent three-plus years at Y&R, helping to manage ad efforts around July's Live Earth concert and the United Nations' Millennium Development Campaign. "He thrives on entrepreneurial thinking and doing," said Kennedy.
Quenneville, 34, worked on accounts such as General Motors and Bell Canada in his five years at Cossette in Montreal. Before that, he was director of project management at OgilvyInteractive in Toronto, where he helped manage efforts for IBM and Nestle. Kennedy described Quenneville as "innovative," adding that he "knows how to get to the answer quickly."
Separately, Cossette has landed creative and media duties on the National Jewish Medical and Research Center after a review. The agency bested a handful of other undisclosed shops to win the account.
Cossette's executives "really understand our business and embrace our vision of personalized medicine," said Dr. Michael Salem, president and CEO of the Denver-based hospital.
Account billings were not disclosed. The hospital spent less than $1 million in major measured media both last year and in the first nine months of 2007, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
Cossette's other clients include Carlsburg, MasterCard Advisors (for which it handles direct marketing tasks), the U.S. Coast Guard and Estee Lauder (interactive projects). Parent Cossette Communication Group is based in Quebec City.
