Ric Cooper, president and chief executive officer of HMS Partners’ Miami office, has acquired majority ownership of the operation and renamed it Cooper HMS Partners.
Cooper said his agency now has only an affiliation relationship with HMS Partners, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Vice chairman Rick Milenthal, who had relocated to oversee the Miami office (formerly McFarland & Drier), will work mostly out of the Columbus office, Cooper said. The two shops are pooling their talent to pitch new business, including the Baltimore and Washington, D.C.,
