NEW YORK Continental Airlines has begun contacting agencies about direct-marketing capabilities for its One Pass frequent-flier program, sources said.

The Houston-based client sent out RFIs late last week with a return due date of June 4, sources said.

The direct business is handled by several agencies, including Interpublic Group’s Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Mich. The budget could not immediately be determined. Continental has had an average measured media spend of about $20 million from 2000 to 2003, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
