Interactive shop IdentityOne this week will open a satellite office in Los Angeles and a New York outpost will likely come before year’s end.

“We felt that if we were on our own, we could do better, higher quality work,” said Tim Stevenson, founder and chief executive of the 15-person Boston-based firm, which specializes in creating Web identities for corporate clients.

“Since we come from an advertising background, we try to figure out what’s going to entice the user” and capture the identity of the company, Stevenson said.
