ATLANTA In an effort to centralize its marketing efforts in the Southeast, Comcast Holdings has tapped Sawyer Riley Compton to handle advertising assignments for the region, sources said.

Sources estimated billings at $5 million.

The Atlanta independent shop replaces Luckie & Co. in Birmingham, Ala., which had been doing project work for the Philadelphia-based company since January. Tom Luckie, agency executive vice president, said he resigned the business because of conflicts with another client, BellSouth. Sources said SRC was hired without a review.
