NEW YORK — Brian Collins, who up until last week was preparing to leave his post as head of Ogilvy & Mather’s Brand Integration Group to join Apple Computers, has changed his mind and will remain with the agency, sources said.

BIG, now in its fifth year, has offices in New York and Los Angeles and employs 35 people. Collins, whose official title is senior partner and executive creative director, was tapped three years ago to lead BIG, Ogilvy’s design, packaging and in-store signage unit, by Rick Boyko, the shop’s co-president and chief creative officer.
