SAN FRANCISCO Cole & Weber United has promoted Jim Elliott to partner and creative director, the agency said today.

Elliott started at Cole & Weber in Seattle in 1998 as a copywriter before advancing to associate creative director. He reports to Mike Doherty and Brad Harrington, co-presidents.

The agency is still looking to fill the role of executive creative director, held previously by Guy Seese, who joined Omnicom Group shop Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco [Adweek Online, Jan, 18].
