NEW YORK -- Real estate company Coldwell Banker has selected six agencies to compete for creative and media duties on its estimated $10-15 million residential account, sources said.
DDB, J. Walter Thompson, Grey, McCann-Erickson, Wieden + Kennedy and The Kaplan Thaler Group, all New York, are scheduled to be briefed by the client tomorrow (Thursday, May 31) at its Parsippany, N.J., offices, sources said.
Consultant Monty Kiernan of the Kiernan Group in Weston, Conn., who is managing the search, declined comment as did a client representative.
Agencies will make strategic presentations in mid-June, a source said.
The assignment includes national TV spots, direct response TV, radio and Web work [Adweek, April 30].
Incumbent Woodbridge, N.J.-based The Sawtooth Group launched a regional TV campaign this past February for the client on New York networks and has handled regional and national creative assignments for the past seven years. Grey's MediaCom in New York currently handles media.
Coldwell Banker, which, according to Competitive Media Reporting, spent about $45 million overall on media in 2000, is part of the Cendent Group, a New York-based hotel franchisor that also operates real estate companies Century 21 and ERA.
