BOSTON Pile and Co. said it has named former agency executive Chris Colbert chief marketing officer.

In his new role, Colbert, 46, is responsible for product development, branding and outreach for all the Pile business groups.

Colbert was previously president of 180 Ventures, a brand consulting firm, and prior to that he was president and co-owner of Holland Mark in Boston, which in the late 1990s ranked among the region’s largest independent ad agencies.

“The addition of Chris to the management team is a major step for us toward meeting our significant growth objectives,” said Rick Hooker, company CEO.
