As Coca-Cola’s new worldwide chief marketing officer, Chuck Fruit will extend at least one of the legacies of outgoing COO Steve Heyer: the “Real” strategy for flagship Coke Classic. But Fruit, who replaced Dan Palumbo last week, did dangle the possibility of turning to other agencies to keep the effort fresh.

Fruit, formerly vp of integrated marketing, said no solicitation of ideas is imminent and he has no “mandate to rearrange relationships and tear down things.
