NEW YORK KSL Media founder Kal Liebowitz has relinquished his seat as president, a position he filled for 22 years, to become chairman of the media services company’s board. Hank Cohen will assume the post of president, after 14 years with the company, most recently as president of West Coast operations.

Liebowitz, who will remain CEO, decided to step down following the completion of KSL’s buyback from the Interpublic Group of Companies on May 15. KSL was acquired by True North Communications in April 1999, and then became part of IPG when the holding company acquired True North in 2001.
