As part of continuing pro bono efforts to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society, the Coaches vs. Cancer partnership has launched its latest public service announcement about "hope, progress and answers."
The 30-second television commercial features men's and women's basketball coaches with a message about striving for a cancer-free future. The spot was directed by Tom De Nolf of De Nolf Films in Dallas.
Complete with edgy graphics and fast-cut edits, the national spot "avoids any gloomy or victim-oriented overtones and instead imparts a sense of strength and power," according to a press statement.
Coaches vs. Cancer is an alliance of the ACS, the National Association of Basketball Coaches
and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
The broadcast commercial was developed by Kansas City agency On Your Mark. The spot incorporates a musical score from The Listening Chair in Dallas.
