Econo Lodge, a low-priced subsidiary of Choice Hotels International, continues its two-year partnership with Procter & Gamble's Mr. Clean. The current promotion targets Discover Card users.

Through April 30, road-weary cardholders putting up at Econo Lodges can check out the hotelier's Mr. Clean housekeeping program and its "100 Percent Clean Guarantee."

Guests who return the postcard mailed to Discover Card users will receive $5 off their first-night accommodations.

Sister chain Rodeway Inn, which caters to senior travelers, is running a 10 percent discount for all guests who ask for a special promotional rate when making a reservation.

A portion of the revenue generated by the promotion will be donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. These monies will help fund research on macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in people over 55.

All Rodeway Inn rooms will also feature special promotional night-lights, which guests may take home. Towels, however, are another matter.
