Johnsonville Foods wants to make bratwurst a top choice for grilling in regions beyond the Midwest this summer with a new national campaign from Clarity Coverdale Fury.
“They just want to get into that acceptable set [of grill selections] like hamburgers and chicken,” said Jerry Fury, the Minneapolis agency’s creative director.
Clarity’s campaign marks the Kohler, Wis., company’s first national network television buy, Fury said. The company had previously relied on spot advertising to promote its bratwurst in the summer grilling season, he said.
The 30-second spot is set at a backyard barbecue.
