SAN FRANCISCO–Cisco Systems confirmed that it has narrowed its search for its estimated $50-60 million account to three agencies.

The shops remaining in the pitch include Grey and JWT & Tonic both in San Francisco and TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, Calif., said Jere King, vp worldwide marketing communications at Cisco.

Sources said that the Internet networking company is looking for a conservative approach from agencies as it seeks to rebound from the dot-com malaise.
