Cisco, darkGrey to Part Ways

The relationship between darkGrey and Cisco Systems was doomed from the start, according to sources, with Marilyn Mersereau, the cli ent’s new vp of marketing, asking that the review ultimately won by dark Grey in June be put on hold even before she arrived.

Cisco and darkGrey now are in talks to dissolve their relationship, sources said, after the agency discovered that the advertiser was courting WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather. The client and the incumbent, part of Grey Global Group, are discussing “a fair compensation deal,” according to sources.
