The interactive ac-count of Cingular Wireless is in play.

Requests for proposals were issued last week, said Ken Bowles, president of Wanamaker Associates in Atlanta, which will conduct the review. There is no incumbent.

“Cingular is cranking up new programs,” Bowles said. “This will be a key piece of business for the agency that understands where interactive fits and where it needs to go.”

The Atlanta-based client will look at freestanding interactive shops only. Billings are undisclosed.

A decision is expected in late April.

Bowles said the interactive review does not affect Cingular’s other agencies: BBDO, New York and Atlanta; The Integer Group, Golden, Colo.;
