NEW YORK Godiva Chocolatier has contacted agencies about pitching its estimated $5 million account.

Godiva’s vice president of marketing, Michael Simon, said the review was by invitation only. Independent New York shop Margeotes Fertitta + Partners, which has handled the account since 1986, will participate, he said.

Omnicom Group’s BBDO and WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam are both on the roster of Godiva parent Campbell Soup Co., but BBDO handles Masterfoods M&Ms and Snickers, a potential conflict.
